The conference continues the tradition of international conferences organized by the Child section of the Czech Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.

This year’s conference will focus on separation – the mutual process of detachment between the mother and her baby (or parents and their child).

The conference programme will be divided into three blocks of lectures each featuring one international speaker followed by small discussion groups facilitated by the speakers and Child Psychotherapists from the CSPAP. Refreshment will be provided during coffee breaks.
Accompanying formal dinner will be held on Saturday and is optional.

The conference will be of interest to psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, pediatricians and allied professionals interested in psychoanalytic work with children and young people.

The conference will be held in Czech and English with translation provided in both languages. Some small group discussions will be held in Czech and some in English to allow all members of the conference time and space for discussion.
